Laser facial rejuvenation - how does it work?

Every woman wants to be the owner of perfectly smooth and young skin without a single wrinkle. With age, the aging process of the skin becomes more and more active, so it quickly loses elasticity and firmness. Fractional laser rejuvenation will help restore skin quality. Heat exposure during the procedure activates cell growth, ensures the production of collagen fibers and the elimination of the dead skin layer.

Working principle

Fractional laser rejuvenation - what is it? This is what experts call skin renewal using the high temperatures provided by the laser beam. The working principle of the technique is reminiscent of laser resurfacing, but it has a deeper effect and possible complex consequences. The device for the procedure is small in size, equipped with photocells that ensure penetration of the laser beam into the tissues. The specialist drives the device very quickly over the patient's skin, otherwise burns may occur.

Species

Experts distinguish between ablative and non-ablative types of laser fractional rejuvenation. Ideally, a combination of both types of exposure is recommended.

ablative type

A non-surgical face lift using the ablative type helps the dead layer of skin cells to reappear. This option allows you to remove the first signs of aging. The procedure, acting on the skin, activates the growth of healthy new cells, tightens, evens out the tone of the skin, and smooths mimic wrinkles.

non-ablative type

Non-ablative type of laser rejuvenation is used in case of irreversible skin changes. This option allows you to influence the deep layers, eliminates pathological processes in the skin, stimulates cell regeneration and the formation of a membrane frame, activates the production of collagen fibers.

Indications

  • Relaxation, loose skin;
  • Presence of pigmentation, acne, enlarged pores;
  • The presence of scars, rosacea (spider veins), stretch marks (stretch marks);
  • The presence of wrinkles on the face, "crow's feet" around the eyes.

Contraindications

Experts do not recommend laser rejuvenation in the following cases:

  • The presence of allergic reactions, skin infections;
  • The presence of inflammation in the area of planned influence, psoriasis;
  • epilepsy;
  • The presence of malignant tumors in the area of planned influence.

Preparation period

Before fractional rejuvenation, it is necessary to stop:

  • A course of treatment with tetracycline-based antibiotics;
  • Use of cosmetics containing alcohol;
  • Visiting beaches, solariums (refusal to sunbathe a few weeks before the procedure).

How it is implemented

fractional skin rejuvenation laser procedure

All manipulations within laser rejuvenation are performed under local anesthesia. During the procedure, the patient may feel discomfort. The whole process takes about half an hour.

During the operation of the device, special protective glasses are in front of the patient's eyes. Remember: the level of exposure and the intensity of the procedure is selected by the specialist individually for each patient. The course generally consists of 7 sessions. This is enough to smooth even deep scars and eliminate most wrinkles.

Effects

Immediately after fractional rejuvenation, the patient feels pain even with the use of painkillers and drugs. After about 3 hours, the skin becomes red and slightly swollen (the swelling is the biggest on the 2nd day), especially in the area of the nose, around the eyes and on the upper eyelids. To reduce swelling, you need to drink diuretics and reduce the amount of salty food.

On the second day, abundant discharge of ichor and the appearance of a crust on the face, which hardens towards the end of the day (it is forbidden to touch it, as well as to try to remove it, it is full of infection and the appearance of scars). After a while, it will become softer and disappear on its own (using skin regenerating products will help you with this).

After about a week, the swelling on the face stops, but for about a month, a pronounced pink shade of the skin remains. When going outside, it is mandatory to use preparations with a protective factor from the sun (at least SPF 30), vitamin intake is recommended. Sunbathing is prohibited, as is the use of scrubs (exfoliation, exfoliation, gomage).

Usually, after 3-6 months, the specialist prescribes a second session, and all the consequences will have to be transmitted again.
